Anxiety Types

anxiety-If worries and fears creates obstacle to live your life the way you like to, you may be suffering from Anxiety disorder. Anxiety is the body’s natural response to fear, an automatic panic that goes off when we feel endangered.

There are several major types of anxiety, each with their own diverse symptom:

1. Social anxiety disorder: If you have a fear of presenting your self in public and feel humiliated or extreme shyness, you may have social anxiety disorder, also know as social phobia.

2. Post-traumatic stress disorder: This type of anxiety disorder occurs due to life-threatening events. The various symptoms of this type of disorder include flashbacks or nightmare about what happened, avoiding events that remind you of the event, withdrawing from others etc.

3. Phobia: It is unrealistic fear of a specific object, activity or situation that in reality presents little to no fear. Phobias involving water, heights, snakes, etc are among the subjects.
