Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) :Excessive Worry about General Things

All of have some general problems and some worries too but some people worry too much about daily life things that it interfere in their life. This stage is called Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?

Generalized anxiety disorder is characterized by persistent, excessive, and unrealistic worry about everyday things. People with the disorder, which is also referred to as GAD, experience exaggerated worry and tension, often expecting the worst, even when there is no apparent reason for concern. They anticipate disaster and are overly concerned about money, health, family, work, or other issues.

The difference between “normal” worry and GAD -

Worries, doubts, and fears are a normal part of life. It’s natural to be anxious about your upcoming SAT test or your finances after being hit by unexpected bills. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD) :Habit of Doing Things Repeatedly

One of my friends has a habit of washing hands many times. He washes his hands at least 50 times in a day and every times he takes 2 to 3 minutes. Recently I came to know that he is actually suffering from ‘Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)’ .So if you know some one having same type of problem, help him. In this disorder obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors become so excessive that they interfere with daily life.
