Anxiety can also be thought as improper working of Brain and improper breathing ,and Yoga is way to learn breath. The thing that I am trying to tell you is that with help of yoga we can solve the root cause of anxiety problem .This is easy and safe too because it is nothing more than breathing properly and bit stretching our body so that it can be relaxed .
The yoga postures (known as asanas) help to stretch and relax the muscles and skeletal system. The physical release through these soothing movements can help create a sense of calmness and well-being. Physical exercise of any kind will help people with high levels of anxiety, and yoga postures have the added bonus of specifically generating deep muscle relaxation while toning at the same time. Anxiety affects our whole being. It affects how we feel, how we behave and has very real physical symptoms. It feels a bit like fear but whereas we know what we are frightened of, we often don’t know what we are anxious about.
It’s completely normal to worry when things get hectic and complicated. But if worries become overwhelming, you may feel that they’re running your life. If you spend an excessive amount of time feeling worried or nervous or you have difficulty sleeping because of your anxiety, pay attention to your thoughts and feelings. They may be symptoms of an anxiety problem or disorder.

Anxiety can be prevented only if you want to overcome from it. It is totally dependent on your state of mind and will-power, that do you really want to overcome your anxiety or not?
